Sorry I have to cancel out last minute due to an ongoing coughing problem and it has gone worse, way worse, this afternoon. So I figured I better have a rest at home.

When I was there last Sunday, the track was closed due to WEATHER, but we walked the whole way to Genowlan Pt, well beyond what I planned for this trip, there were only a few wet spots. So I am hoping that the NP will unlock the gate by the weekend.

I shall keep everyone informed through here or in the COMMENTS on the status.

The forecast for this week is very dry up there, the condition should improve.

Failing any news from NP, I shall be there in the early afternoon to check if the gate is still closed, and advise via here by Friday night.

This will be a SATURDAY trip, as I am hiking up there the next day.

We shall drive around all the easier tracks, pay tribute to Colin’s old mine and relics etc., plus some bush bashing by foot to check out some geological features that 4wders missed in our rush. Places I didn’t even know existed until I started exploring the MMB SCA ( Muji Murrum-Ban ) State Conservation Area by foot.

And of course, the panoramic views of the grand Capertee Valley.

If we have time, we can even try bits of the harder track, conditions permitting, not a priority.

Please note, it is not so EASY to get up there for newbies, so please respond with some caution if you have not taken more than 2 trips with the club. There are some rocky sections.

Need all the usual recovering gears, tire pump etc. Although I personally probably don’t air down if it is a dry day.
