I was told today by one of my scouts that RedHill road and the adjacent tracks are already soaked and quite boggy at places. I was hoping that today’s sun would stay for tomorrow but the forecast is saying otherwise so we have to push that out to another day

Yes, meeting time is 5.30 PM NOT AM, that’s a night drive
I can tell you there is not much more exiting then going over a hump at night and driving in a big black hole because the high beam is simply that: high ;-)
On a more serious note: the plan is to meet at the treetop adventure car park and than to follow Red Hill road till we get back on the black top at Kulnura
I classify this trip as easy in terms of driving.
We might do, depending on participants and mood, short side tracks but I am not planning for bone breaking recovery in the dark.
All the side tracks are optional and there will be a easy B-line
I want to be back in Sydney before breakfast :-)
I did it in the past and it was good fun!
Note: definitely bring a working UHF, I reckon searching in the dark for somebody who had a puncture is not fun
And the ones who have modern cars which cant turn off parkers/DRL, bring duct tape to cover them. Otherwise we cant see you when standing in front of your car and guiding.
