final update 31/3/2021 07.00pm. Marramarra creek is in very poor condition, many mosquitoes, track is muddy in parts, as this is family camping trip its going to be very difficult to keep the kids out of the water as the water activities are the main attraction & poses a risk. I’m cancelling this trip and will be rescheduling. As we still have access to other parts of the National Park, I’ll be organising a day trip for beginners over Easter break.

update as of 30/03/2021 07.15pm: Marramarra Camp grounds is open. I’m asking ranger for permission to check tomorrow night, the condition of the track and camp grounds.

Refer NSW health regarding flood disease risks, water sports including canoeing, swimming & fishing and contact with mud should be avoided. https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/alerts/Documents/flood-disease-risks-clin-alert-20210325.PDF

Next update tomorrow night Wed 31 March 2021.

Update as of 23/03/2021 11am.: Marramarra NP is currently closed due to all the rain. The Ranger will inspect the campground once the rain has stopped for a few days. HK4WD will also do a check late Thursday to confirm condition of the track and campground and post an update on whether the camping trip will proceed.

Planning to stay 2 nights if weather is good as its Easter and generally rains.

It’s a family event: bring tents, camping trailers, chairs, food, drinking water, games, cricket bat, kayaks, fishing equipment, wood etc. Camping at main camp area with drop loo only. There is no running water.

There will be a easter egg hunt and other child friendly activities.

Opportunity for drivers to check out some easy tracks in Marramarra National Park such as smugglers, coba trails etc. Perfect for beginners as most tracks are fire trails.

Meeting place: car park at corner of Waddys firetrail and Marramarra Ridge Trail, Fiddletown.

Max 7 vehicles ( rsvp with vehicles not people).

Pls bring a bag of firewood for each vehicle.

Note: campsite is behind the locked gates so we need to enter and exit as a group. If you can only stay 1 night pls message me, we can discuss.

Location

Marramarra Ridge Trail, Fiddletown NSW 2159, Australia
