Time zone: Sydney
Reminder: None
Ends: 5:00pm Sunday 02 May 2021 (duration is 1 day)

NOTE: trip postponed to the new date of 1 May 2021.

This is a camping trip to explore the different tracks on Mt Airlie over two days. The first day will be an easy day, just to get up to the top, explore a few easier tracks, and set up camp next to the old mine shaft, and enjoy the panoramic views. The second day will be clamoring up the tough track leading to Genowlan Point, which we did in Feb 2016. Whoever responds to this notice, will be an OBSERVER ONLY, and will be leaving their car at the bottom of the track to save time. We shall organise each observer to ride shotgun.

Please bring all necessary gears for BUSH camping, ie no facilities, no lights. But we’ll try to get a campfire going. Hopefully, we’ll have a starry sky, and enjoy the majestic Milky Way as we chat.

Mt Airlie is in the majestic Capertee Valley, the widest Canyon of the World, so the claim.

This is NOT suitable for new beginners but ok for those who’s been to two or three of our recent non-beginner trips.

For those interested, please see the following video for the 2016 trip,

There are plenty of panoramic views to take in up near the camping site.

Everyone will be camping together, and we shall enjoy the campfire talks.

The meeting point on Saturday shall be the small park just opposite Glen Davis Rd at Capertee, off Castlereagh Hwy.
