Extending the date to RSVP for catering purposes to the 17 November

Due to the current covid situation we have had to make some adjustments to the catering.
We will still be doing a BBQ for Saturday Night Dinner and Sunday Break Fast. However we will ask that our members to bring their salads and bread).

Just in case, we are trying to limit all opporunities for cross contamination!!

On Saturday Nightt we will bbq meat (hamburger patties and sausage) and onions – please bring your salags/ greens or bread.

For Sunday Morning we will be doing a BBQ again with bacon and eggs but please bring your bread.

We are trying a new location for our annual Xmas Camping Trip. We have scouted out a new location at Gloucester Tops Riverside Caravan Park.

This is a privately owned caravan park which has powered and non-powered sites available. The park is basic but the location is memorable with the Gloucester River running through the camp and plenty of wildlife and they have extensive 4wd track they will let us use (good for beginners).

The park is rustic, there is a central toilet block with showers (2 dollar coins is required for hot water). You will need to bring your own camping gear, cooking and food storage (bring plenty of ice if you are using an esky – ice is not available to buy in the park) .

Please call Campbell to book your spot if you need a powered site – phone 6558 3007. If you don’t need a powered site we will confirm our numbers from Team APP.

Generally, we aim to arrive on Friday night or Saturday morning, do a drive on Saturday, and then have a fun night around the campfire on Saturday night. If you have been good this year we may get a special visit from Santa.

The 4wd trip will be on Saturday, probably from 9:30 or 10am, and we will be back in the afternoon, in time for dinner that club will prepare. Generally burgers/sausages (or something like that) please bring your salads and breads. In the morning, eggs and bacon for those want it and again please bring you bread.

What to bring: camping equipment clearly, if you are going for a 4WD trip then recovery equipment. Always good to bring extra food, plenty of drinks, book to read or some games (since there is no phone reception!), and swimmers, because river is awesome if the weather is good.

The shop sells chocolate and ice cream, but i wouldn’t count on them having much else. Nearest petrol station is 45 minutes away, so make sure you have plenty of fuel.

Access road is excellent, suitable for campers.
Not sure if they accept cards, and don’t forget $2 coins for the amenities (Showers)
